TOEFL IBT

 

The TOEFL® test (Test of English as a Foreign Language™) is the most widely respected English-language test in the world, recognized by more than 7,500 colleges, universities and agencies in more than 130 countries.

 

The TOEFL iBT measures the ability to use and understand English at university level. And assesses how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks.

IELTS

 

The IELTS is a language proficiency test designed and administered by Cambridge University.  It is accepted by all academic institutions in Australia, England, New Zealand and Canada. IELTS is accepted by more than 450 universities and educational institutions.

 

There are two types

 

1. The Academic Module is for those who aspire to make undergraduate and postgraduate studies abroad.

 

2. General Training is for those who want to know their level of English to immigrate or work in English speaking countries. It is also requested by local universities as a requirement for graduation.

 

Both tests are composed of four parts:

 

Listening Comprehension (40 min)

 

Reading (60 min)

 

Writing (60 min)

 

Conversation (10-15 min-individual)

GRE

Graduate programs and business schools use GRE® scores to evaluate your readiness for graduate-level work. The GRE General Test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing skills that are not related to any specific field of study.

·     Analytical Writing: Measures critical thinking and analytical writing skills, specifically the test taker's ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively

·      Verbal Reasoning: Measures reading comprehension skills and verbal and analogical reasoning skills, focusing on the test taker's ability to analyze and evaluate written material.

·      Quantitative Reasoning: Measures problem-solving ability, focusing on basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis.
